HK last days

These past few days has been slowing down as my journey comes to an end.  Just having family dinners and buying many candy for friends, so when I get back we can all enjoy.

Some homemade dumplings and taro cake ( I think).

Had some bomb sushi. Thanks to ken for treating.

This picture is quite realistic, cause I actually walked past a couple in which the boy was playing with the cellphone behind his girls back.

Of all the things I ate in HK, I feel that the best thing was these two rice plates.  The first one was spareribs over rice, and the second one is bbq pork over rice with a chicken feet.  I purchased it at the Wet Market for about 18HKD each, which is little over $2 USD.  The point is, that sometimes the most simple dish turns out to be the most delicious.

I was so happy to meet another friend, Sayuki!  She is such an expert on food, and a professional baker in my opinion. We went out to get dessert, and it was the first time I tried durian fruit. Thanks so much, had a good time!

Here it is! durian dessert, the scoop right above my ice-creme is durian. The taste is not bad at all, and the smell is not as bad as I imagined.  I really want to try a fresh cut durian when i get back to the States.

Later I met up with my bro again, and ate at MOS burger, which i believe originated in Japan.  Here we have a burger called the E LT Wagyu burger with an egg and some kind of sweet sauce. The burger meat has a more soft texture than the traditional american hamburger, overall very delicious.

The rest of the days were spent relaxing, therefore this will probably be the last post of my China HK trip.  So I now say Goodbye to Hong Kong and I will miss everything about it especially all the friends.  Hope to return soon!

Visit to Macau again!

Decided to make another trip to Macau. The worst day to go to Macau also, because it was raining the entire day, and we didn't have umbrellas, but we had delicious food. Didn't take much photos either cause the camera is not water proof.

Had to stop by and get some more Steamed Milk.  This time I had the chilled steam milk with red beans.  I defiantly recommend the warm steam milk, the texture is much better.

Ate some delicious dumplings.

These are sticky rice balls filled with red bean paste.

Met up with a good friend Wise!

Here we have a Portuguese style baked Cod cake.  Imagine mash potatoes filled with fish.

This is a very interesting dished called Portuguese style bake chicken stuff with rice.  The skin is very delicious and crispy.  The inside is stuffed with rice, where the flavor reminds me of Mexican style rice.

Chill day in SaiKung

Today was another relaxing day in SaiKung.  Just met up with Family and enjoyed a hot pot meal.

Angry Birds are very popular in HK. This cake can be seen at many Maxims Bakeries.   Too bad I cannot bring one back home.

Night time at the pier.

The peak of HK

Decided to head over to the high point of HK; the peak.  First we had to head over to the star ferry terminal to take the tram up.

When you take the tram up, at first it climbs at a steady speed, then when the hill becomes steep the speed starts increasing.

Return to HK

Well, I had so much fun in the mainland, but it was time to return to HK for one more week.  I got back and took one day off to relax, then the next day continued my adventures.  First stop is Tai O fishing village, where we pre-ordered a well known chicken meal.

Tai O village is probably the most peaceful town I visited so far in HK.  Its right next to the sea, and the air is fresh. As, you can see from the next photos, there are many fishing boats and the very well known stilt houses.  In, the past there used to be alot more, but many are gone due to a fire long ago.

This is by far the smallest cannon i seen, I don't think its even a cannon.

This is it! the restaurant we were looking for.  We have a chicken reserved for us.

Here we go, the famous Salt Baked Chicken of Tai O.  The flavor is just perfect, moist meat, crispy skin, and salty but not overpowering the flavor of the chicken. One of the best chickens I ate in my life.

Next up we have a fried taro cake roll.  It consists of a flaky roll filled with taro paste, accompanied by a sweet dipping sauce.

Lastly, we have a sweet spareribs dish, this one is standard to my taste.

You cannot see but there was a meaner looking bull animal thing, quite close, so i was scared to take a photo with this one.
