澳門 MACAU

The journey brings me to Macau.  Once a Portuguese colony, and now one of the two Special administrative regions of China.  Much of the architecture has both Chinese and Portuguese influences. As you can see from the photos.  On the Macau side of the island they have many casinos, but I will share with you the more peaceful side called Taipa (氹仔) Of course I cannot forget about the food, which we only sampled a few items.

This is a very famous lighthouse of Macau.  The view is very nice at the top, but the climb up is tiring.

This is a cannon. I am on top of the cannon.

This is actually rated one of the ugliest buildings in the world.

Here is a very famous place to get Portuguese egg tarts also known as po-tot   pastel de nata (Portuguese) . Lord Stows bakery.

Oh man this stuff is so fresh you can smell the aroma from outside the building.

This picture is where all the dried salty fish hang for purchase. I really wanted to get some, but I don't think it will be welcomed back on the ship.

This is sort of a barracks I think.

This is a very famous hotel, because some movies were shot here.

Bet you guys never seen this, one of the worlds biggest beef jerky.

From the very first photo, you can see a giant church wall.  All these coins are thrown through the windows for some reason.  I was thinking if I can collect all of them, I can buy dinner.

Big thanks to my friend Francisco who is on the right of the photo, for showing us around Macau for the day. This guy knows Macau inside out.

This snack consists of blackcurrent lemon drink, a very well known Portuguese porkshop sandwhich. 豬扒包, and to finish off we have a birds nest egg tart.

This could possibly be the best chicken leg I ate so far.  The flavor is perfectly spiced.

These stalls are where I purchased the chicken leg.  As soon as you walk out your car, the old ladies will keep pestering you to buy food and snacks.

Last food item of Macau i tried was Steamed milk pudding 雙皮奶.  All I got to say is this creation is simple and bomb.  Its very creamy and tasty.

I'm not even sure what this is because I didn't eat it, but I am sure its pretty damn good.
